Coaches used for interurban travel are typically large but uncomfortable, with seats packed so close together than it is hardly possible to even open a laptop. Boarding is slow due to the narrow doorways, multiple steps, manual ticket inspection and luggage has to be stowed by the driver in separate lockers.

We imagine a future for coach travel using smaller vehicles with step-free access, generous space in the cabin for both riders and their luggage. Reliable wifi and power and automated ticket inspection.

Use of an electric drivetrain and active motion control system removes noise, vibration and road imperfections and driver assistance technology results in smoother safer driving. Smaller vehicles = more frequent services, which means less waiting around for the next service. More vehicles also allow us to allocate people to vehicles to reduce the number of intermediate stops.
